Saia Vergara Jaime, Vice Minister of Heritage, Memories and Cultural Governance at the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge, is a History graduate with a focus on research from Javeriana University. She holds a Master's degree in Audiovisual Communication with a speciality in screenwriting from Antonio de Nebrija University (Madrid) and a doctorate in Applied Creativity from the Complutense University of Madrid. In her career, she has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Design of the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University. She also served as Director General of the Cartagena City Institute of Heritage and Culture (2020-2022). Previously, at the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge, she led the National Workshop Schools Programme and the Human Capital Strengthening group during 2022 and 2023. She has also held international positions such as Mentor of the LABIXBA Citizen Innovation Laboratories, managed by the Ministry of Culture of Argentina and Spain’s Ibero-American General Secretariat.
