Laura Martínez de Guereñu is an architect and scholar educated at the University of Navarra and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Her work has contributed to rethinking authorship in architecture and has been recognized, among others, with the Leonardo Grant from the BBVA Foundation, the Lilly Reich Grant for Equality in Architecture, and a Fellowship for Experienced Researchers from the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung. Her artistic intervention Re-enactment (2020) initiated a line of research developed in Who Designs Architecture? (2021), which has culminated in the book Lilly Reich in Barcelona: The Materialization of a Neglected Authorship (2025). The book reveals the creative reality of collaboration in architecture, reconsiders the authorship of the Barcelona Pavilion, and offers a reparative account of an architect whose contribution was systematically relegated for decades.
