Mónica González Inés holds a degree in Journalism from the Complutense University of Madrid and master’s degrees in Business Administration (MBA) and in Corporate and Advertising Communication. Before turning to literature, she worked as a consultant at the advertising agency McCann Erickson and in the communications departments of major companies, as well as on various radio programs and in print media early in her career. In 2023, she received a grant from the Escuela de Escritores for her first novel, El aire quema [The Air Burns] a portrait of the modern woman pushed to her limits, caught between the demand to be perfect, the fear of failure, and the tensions simmering beneath the surface of everyday life. She has contributed to several anthologies of short stories and micro-stories, and in recent years has participated in writing workshops led by authors such as Ignacio Ferrando and Juan Gómez Bárcena.
