Inés Quezada is the academic director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design at IE University, where she also teaches. She holds a degree in Textile and Fashion Design from the Centre for Design, Film and Television (Mexico City). Her career is characterised by a strong commitment to education and to expanding the possibilities of textiles. Her work explores the versatility of knitted fabric in garments, objects, lighting and other disciplines. She is also co-founder of Kauani, a brand specialising in knitted lamps inspired by native Mexican flora. The brand’s pieces have been exhibited at Maison & Objet (Paris), the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània (Valencia), the India Mahdavi Gallery (Paris), the Fernán Gómez Cultural Centre (Madrid), the Museo del Traje (Madrid), the Lamb Gallery (London), the Fundación Casa de México en España (Madrid) and the AGO Projects Gallery (Mexico City), which currently represents the brand.
