Anne Cottringer was born in Canada and came to the UK to study film theory and history at the Slade School of Fine Art but decided that making films was more fun than being an academic. Working on documentaries has taken her to many parts of the world, but at the moment she and her husband, Richard Branczik - a professional cameraman - are collaborating on a documentary closer to home in Herefordshire. She is also a children’s author.
