(Scotland) A social communicator and cultural journalist based in Spain, Ponsford took her Master’s in Hispanic Studies from London University. In 1998 she won the Simón Bolívar Prize for non-fiction in recognition of her literary journalism. She has edited the magazine Cromos, to which she also contributed a column; she was one of the founders of El Malpensante; she has been on the panel of Ministry of Culture prizes and scholarships; and she has worked as editor for the publishing houses Siruela, Turner and Grupo Planeta.
Ponsford is currently a columnist for the newspaper El Espectador; she also edits the magazine Arcadia and participates regularly in Spanish and international cultural events.
