Rosa Ribas holds a degree in Hispanic Studies from the University of Barcelona and has served as a Spanish language instructor at Goethe University and as a collaborator with the Cervantes Institute in Frankfurt. She is the author of the novels The Painter of Flanders, The Myopic Detective, Miss Fifty, Pension Leonardo, and The Moon in the Mines, as well as the crime series featuring Cornelia Weber-Tejedor. Together with Sabine Hofmann, she wrote the Trilogy of the Dark Years, which has been successfully translated into several languages. In 2022 she published Lejos, an extraordinary novel of love and secrets, and in 2024 Peces abisales, a true literary confession. With Un asunto demasiado familiar and Los buenos hijos, she launched the addictive series starring Hernández Detectives, which was a resounding success with critics and readers alike, and which has continued successfully with Nuestros muertos.
