Leading Spanish daily El País hosts the opening discussion of this year’s Hay Festival, exploring the digital revolution that shapes our lives. We are users of continual change, acting out the strategies of major corporations as they constantly transform the world. Representatives from BBVA and El País debate the imminent challenges of a society ceaselessly reinventing itself. What does the future hold? With the intervetion of Clara Barrabés (BBVA), David Alandete (Deputy Chief Editor of newspaper El País) and Javier Gomá (Director of the Fundación Juan March and philosopher). Chaired by the Indian journalist Dileep Padgaonkar, a member of the editorial board of The Times of India and former editor of the country’s leading newspaper. Simon Manley, the UK’s Ambassador to Spain, introduces the subject of the digital revolution and the changes it is imposing.
