Juan Diego Flórez

In the decade since he was cited by Pavarotti as one of the most promising new talents in opera, Peruvian Juan Diego Flórez has established himself as one of the world’s finest tenors, with more than 50 recordings and a full performing schedule until 2021. Flórez talks to Almudena Bermejo, Director of Espacio Fundación Telefónica and journalist, and music critic Jesús Ruiz Mantilla about his early years (he once busked on the New York Metro) and his new role as an ambassador for Telefónica’s Sinfonía Digital, which works to provide disadvantaged children awith a musical education.
