Overnight, Tomi stops going to school because of shooting in the streets. The 1956 Hungarian Revolution has begun. A bullet casing hits his grandmother on the forehead while she buys bread. The body of the school janitor is found dead. In just two weeks, the life of this 10-year-old child is changed completely. His family go to live with relatives. His parents’ marriage enters crisis and they think about going to live somewhere else. Eighteen days of revolution set against the backdrop of a Hungarian family unable to understand what is happening outside their doors.
