Rosa Montero and Claudia Piñeiro

Spanish writer and journalist Rosa Montero talks about her long-awaited new novel, La carne (Flesh), her most audacious and personal work with Argentinean writer Claudia Piñeiro, winner of numerous literary prizes, among them the German LiBeraturpreis for Elena Sabe and the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize for Las grietas de Jara. Montero’s emotional intrigue explores the passage of time, fear of death, failure, hope, and the need to love, as well as the glorious tyranny of sex. Montero has won the Grinzane Cavour prize, the Madrid Critics’ Prize, and the Primavera Prize, among others.
