To infinity and beyond. Lecture by Marcus du Sautoy

Querétaro 2018,

What is the importance of the infinite in a limited world? Has anyone ever reached this indefinable point, given our finite lives? Can you count the uncountable? The mathematician Marcus du Sautoy (UK), Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford, offers to take the reins on matters that affect us all. In his book How To Count to Infinity, Du Sautoy shows us the infinite as a kind of mathematical opening in our minds. At this event he will explain why it is worth imagining all the things that are above and beyond our brief existence.
