Carlos Magdalena is one of the most highly-reputed botanists in the United Kingdom, and an expert in saving rare plant species. This Spanish naturalist has travelled the world rescuing plants in danger of extinction, earning him the nickname, “the plant messiah”. He has recently published the book The Plant Messiah, which talks of his work and his passion for keeping species alive. At this event he will talk to the Peruvian botanist Daniel Montesinos about his role as horticulturalist and his commitment to plants.
