Alberto Soto and Roberto Junco in conversation with Antonio Loyola Vera

Mexico at the forefront: underwater archaeology

Querétaro 2020,

The wealth of Mexico’s cultural heritage has been the subject of research and object of fascination for generations of historians, anthropologists and archaeologists. As well as the traditional forms of study and exploration of this heritage, Mexico is currently undertaking innovative practices such as subaquatic archaeology, which brings to light signs of the remote, and more recent, past along the Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico coasts, where biological diversity and cultural resources of great historical value lie submerged. Antonio Loyola Vera will talk about this matter with the Mexican experts Roberto Junco and Alberto Soto.
