At this event, two thinkers who have dedicated themselves to closely observing the climate of social tension in Colombia will talk about the movements that are facing up to the system. Juan Carlos Flórez (Colombia) is a historian, journalist, former councillor and civic leader from Bogota; he was an advisor to the National Constituent Assembly in 1991, Director of the History Department of the University of the Andes and is a columnist for Semana magazine. In his book Los que sobran (2021), he makes a critical analysis of the history of capitalism. Ricardo Silva (Colombia), winner of the 5th Biblioteca de Narrativa Colombiana Prize, is a writer, journalist, screenwriter and the author of novels, short stories, essay and poetry, as well as a columnist for various media outlets including Semana, SoHo, El Malpensante and El Tiempo. The two authors talk to the lawyer Ana Bejarano.
