La Mambanegra in concert - Stalls

The traditional opening concert of the Hay Festival Cartagena returns, outdoors and for all. We will enjoy an incredible live performance by La Mambanegra, an orchestra composed of nine virtuoso musicians from Cali who call their style “breaksalsa”. This is a music that goes beyond the standards of traditional salsa, in a mixture of energetic salsa dance songs with funk and hip-hop influences, but also calming things down to play tracks performed by the leader of the band and saxophonist, Jacobo Vélez, and at these moments, the music of La Mambanegra approaches the genre of Latin jazz.
