Ghislaine Dehaene-Lambertz in conversation with Nelson Vallejo-Gómez

The first thousand days of a human life, pediatrical and pedagogical challenges

Arequipa 2022,

This event is an opportunity to consider the truly astonishing first thousand days of a human life, both in health and educational terms. Ghislaine Dehaene-Lambertz (France) is a distinguished paediatrician and researcher, currently head of the development neuroimaging team at the INSERM Institute at the University of París-Saclay, where she studies the development of cognitive functions in childhood. Based on brain images, in order to observe the acquisition of language or the neural signals of consciousness, Dehaene-Lambertz seeks to understand how early brain conditions are moulded by culture and context. She will talk to Nelson Vallejo-Gómez, a philosopher and General Secretary of the French Council for National Scientific Education.
