Rodrigo Cortés in conversation with Jesús García Calero

The acclaimed writer and filmmaker Rodrigo Cortés has just published ‘Hija del cielo’ (Daughter of Heaven) (Literatura Random House), a dazzling novel featuring a girl who may be possessed, since the Handsome Man dwells within her. In conversation with journalist Jesús García Calero, they will discuss the origin of the book’s two voices — that of the narrator, and the girl’s dislocated, wild, tumultuous tongue, capable of recounting horror with an almost comic naturalness. The blend of tradition and popular culture that come together in the ever-unsettling beauty language grants us.
