Two independent publishing projects, two ways of life. Mara Rahab Bautista López (Mexico) co-manages Originaria, which promotes contemporary literary works written by women in non-hegemonic languages; Gustavo Puerta Leisse (Venezuela) is the co-founder of Editorial Modernas el Embudo, which specialises in children’s and young adult literature. The two will talk to Melissa Pérez (Peru) about their motivations for undertaking such personal projects, the rewards they have reaped and the disappointments they have encountered throughout their publishing careers.
