Writers A.J. Eversole and P.C. Verrone join Hay Festival Forum Dallas to discuss Back for Blood: Never Whistle at Night Part II, the second volume in the bestselling Indigenous horror anthology series, to which they both contribute. Bringing together a new collection of stories by Indigenous writers from across North America, the anthology uses horror, folklore, and the supernatural to explore identity, memory, history, resilience, and the realities of Indigenous life today.

Moderated by Gretchen VanWormer, Assistant Professor of Literature and Creative Writing at The University of Texas at Dallas, the conversation will explore the growing presence of Indigenous voices in contemporary horror, Eversole and Verrone's contributions to the colecction, and the ways writers are using the genre to confronto history, reclaim stories, and transform adversity into art.
