Anita G., a Jewess, comes "from the other side of the wall”. With the suitcase in her hand she meets strangers who help her discover an unknown country: the Federal Republic in the year 1966. Coming from the GDR, Anita embodies a past without assimilation and therefore does not have the skills necessary to integrate successfully into West German society.
