The poetry whisperers
Bringing poetry out into the open
Venue: Plaza Mayor, Plaza San Martín, jardín del Palacio Quintanar
Once again, the poetry whisperers will be out and about in Segovia, this time in three central locations: the Plaza Mayor, the Plaza San Martín and the Quintanar Palace. Between 12 pm and 2 pm and then from 5 pm to 8.30 pm, some thirty actors will invite a passerby to a poem, whispering it in their ear. Some poems will be by writers that have taken part in Hay Festival Segovia before, like Antonio Lucas, Antonio Colinas, Javier Rodríguez Marcos, Clara Janés, José María Muñoz Quirós, Carlos Aganzo, Luis Alberto de Cuenca and Pablo Jiménez Burillo. Among the classics will be work from Santa Teresa de Jesús, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, María Zambrano, Dante, Federico García Lorca or Juan Ramón Jiménez. In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Quintanar Palace at the same time.
