Human rights lawyer and writer Philippe Sands is the author of the acclaimed East West Street, part historical detective story, part family history, part legal thriller, which explores the links he uncovered between the impact of the holocaust on his family during the Second World War and the Nuremberg Trial, an inquiry that also informs the way contemporary history is developing.
