The Spanish journalist and political analyst Ignacio Escolar has worked with, among others, media organizations such as Cinco Días, El Mundo, Muy Interesante, Rolling Stone, GEO,Quoand Telecinco, and has acted as a press consultant in Mexico and Ecuador. In 2003 he founded escolar.net, Spain’s most popular political blog; in 2007 he founded Público newspaper; and in 2012, eldiario.es, of which he is the Managing Director. In 2018 he was awarded the Garbiel García Márquez Journalism Prize by the Foundation for New Ibero-American Journalism (FNPI) for his great contribution to multimedia journalism. He will reflect on a life dedicated to press, television and digital journalism, from creating content to his thoughts about the trade, with Jaime Abello Banfi, the director and founder member of the FNPI.
