Piedad Bonnett in conversation with Katya Adaui

Qué hacer con estos pedazos

Arequipa 2022,

After writing two books of poetry, Daniel: Voces en duelo, oficio poético (2020) and Lo terrible es el borde (2021), the acclaimed writer Piedad Bonnett (Colombia) returns to the novel, a form that she has not published since 2018 and her last work of fiction, Donde nadie me espere. She returns with a story about a woman, daily life and abuse in Qué hacer con estos pedazos (2022), which, starting from an apparently banal and unremarkable event (the refurbishment of a kitchen), creates a sketch of settled and dangerous dissatisfaction, and of women who are hemmed in by different kinds of mistreatment and silences. She will talk to the writer Katya Adaui.
