Parking for Hay Festival Winter Weekend is available at the Oxford Road car park (HR3 5EQ) in the centre of Hay-on-Wye, directly opposite Hay Castle. This a long stay pay and display for all vehicle types and includes disabled space. Please see the car park signage for current tariff details and full parking conditions. Payment is via coin, app or card (please note there is one card operated machine at this location).
The Cattle Market (Swan Bank, HR3 5EB) is a hardstanding car park just a few minutes' walk from each of the Winter Weekend venues. Payment is via coin, app or card (please note there is one card operated machine at this location).
Payments at both car parks can be made via the Pay by Phone app - it is recommended to download and install the app prior to your visit to ensure you can access it on arrival, once you have secured a space. This app cannot be used to reserve a space in advance.
We have a limited number of hard-standing spaces available at our Summer site (HR3 5PJ). A free, accessible shuttle bus is provided to take you to and from The Castle. Parking should be booked in advance here. The cost is £6 for the whole day, with unlimited entry and exit.
At Powys County Council Car Parks Blue Badge holders must purchase a pay and display ticket, but will receive an additional one hour after the expiry of their purchased ticket, please check the display board for charges, terms and conditions.
