Rosa Chávez Yacila is a writer and journalist born in Lima. She studied Literature at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and holds a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from Pompeu Fabra University. Her reports and personal essays have appeared in media outlets and magazines such as Ojo Público, El País, Mongabay, VICE, The New York Times and Granta en Español. She works as a lecturer in Literary Journalism and as a freelance journalist. Las nerviosas, her first book, has been published in Peru and Spain.
