Quan Zhou (Algeciras, 1989). Multidisciplinary artist, speaker, podcaster and graphic novelist. Honorary Chair in Spanish Culture and Civilisation at New York University (2024), Artist-in-Residence at Northwestern University (Evanston, Illinois, 2026) and Finalist in the Princesa de Girona Awards in the Art category (2025). She has published five books, including Gazpacho agridulce (Astiberri, 2015), Andaluchinas por el mundo (Astiberri, 2017), El gran libro de los niños extraordinarios (Silonia, 2018), Gente de aquí, gente de allí (Astiberri, 2020) and La agridolce vita (Astiberri, 2023). She has written and illustrated for Píkara Magazine, El País, Eldiario.es and Vogue, amongst others. She is the creator and host of the podcast Movidas Varias (Eldiario.es) and director of the documentary podcast Mi familia española. She gives international lectures on racism and identity at universities such as Princeton, Stanford, Cornell and Northwestern, where her books form part of the academic curricula.
