Frank Steinhofer is a German novelist and essayist born in Dahn. He contributes to international publications such as Der Spiegel and The Architectural Review, and was co-editor of the independent art magazine Dare for seven years. His first novel, Das Terrain (2021), explores the construction of a museum on the edge of the rainforest. His literary work addresses themes such as ecological justice, climate change, art and sustainable forms of construction. In 2021, he took part in the opening of the Culturscapes Festival alongside the Brazilian Indigenous writer Ailton Krenak. He has also developed poetic installations and projects linked to ecological and environmental perspectives. He currently divides his time between Mexico City and Germany.
