is the Ford Foundation’s Regional Director for the Andean region, supporting civil society in Colombia, Peru and Venezuela. He served as Executive Secretary of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, having previously been Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Justice during the transitional government. His notable leadership roles include directing the Institute for Democracy and Human Rights at PUCP, the Americas programme at the International Centre for Transitional Justice, and the Latin America programme at the International Crisis Group. He has lectured at PUCP and the Universidad Externado de Colombia and has served as an advisor on transitional justice processes in various countries across Latin America and Africa.
