Following the sudden death of his mother, nine-year-old Zucchini befriends a kind police officer, Raymond, who accompanies him to his new foster home. Initially, Zucchini struggles to adapt to the strange and hostile environment, but with the help of Raymond and his new friends, Zucchini will learn to love and trust others.
The adaptation of the novel by Gilles Paris has been a hit with the critics and a box office success, as well as winning prizes at several film festivals. Oscar nominated for Best Animated Film, the story, animated in stop-motion, takes a bold approach to children’s cinema and pulls no punches.
