A direct descendent of the Medici family, Lorenzo de’ Medici is a latter-day Renaissance man: the author of several books covering a range of topics, from the history of his descendants to novels, as well as a print and radio journalist. He is a regular contributor to European television and hosts a series of television documentaries about leading figures from history on German television. He talks to Guillermo Solana, art expert and Artistic Director of Madrid’s Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
