On the fifth centenary of the birth of St Teresa of Jesus, Hay Festival Segovia pays tribute to one of history’s most significant literary and spiritual friendships: that of Saint Teresa and Saint John of the Cross. The tribute culminates in Segovia with readings by four poets – Antonio Colinas, Clara Janés, José María Muñoz Quirós and Carlos Aganzo. Other readings take place at Medina del Campo on 16 September at 8pm and in Avila on 26 September at 8pm. A fifth poet, Luis Alberto de Cuenca, is involved in the latter events.
