Venue: Romeral de San Marcos
Hay Festival and the Loewe Foundation pay homage to Mexican poet and writer Octavio Paz on the centenary of his birth. Paz was also the president of the jury of the Loewe Foundation International Poetry Awards until his death in 1998. Loewe Poetry Award-winners Antonio Lucas, Juan Vicente Piqueras and Álvaro García read a selection of their own poems and also their favourite poem by Paz. Chaired by José Félix Valdivieso. The readings will take place during a guided tour of the Romeral de San Marcos garden which will be led by Claudia Schaefer. The Romeral garden was created by acclaimed landscape gardener Leandro Silva.
