Querétaro 2025

Both Elvira Liceaga, in Las vigilantes, and Tania Tagle, in Fauce, explore the complexities of bereavement and female relationships. Liceaga does so through the link among three women marked by loss; Tagle, through the voice of a mother who must speak to her son about death. In La próxima vez que te vea, te mato by Paulina Flores, the grief lies in the future —or perhaps not—, since the protagonist is trapped in the midst of a polyamorous relationship. In conversation with Miguel de la Cruz.

The book Club Leo con ONCE presents a very special author: Juan José Millas, that will speak with his readers about his most recent book, Que nadie duerma, an exceptional novel which tells the story of the life of Lucía, who, after losing her job, becomes a taxi driver, accompanied by a tune from a Puccini opera, and hopes one day to pick up her former neighbour, a man who has disappeared and who was the love of her life. The real world and the main character’s inner world are separated by a very fine line indeed. Chaired by Miguel de la Cruz.
