Reading in homage to Mario Vargas Llosa

Twelve participants of the Hay Festival Arequipa 2026 will pay tribute to Mario Vargas Llosa by reading 24 autobiographical texts by the extraordinary Arequipa writer. From his birth to his eighties, we will explore the many sides of this multifaceted figure, remembering the universal writer, the incisive journalist and the generous human being. A unique opportunity to celebrate life, art and the transformative power of literature.
